I Got Reincarnated as a Zombie Girl

Chapter 115 – Farewell to Peace

Eighth day.

The break has ended.

I stood at the window of the inn room for the last time, watching the morning sun warmly illuminate the city. This city... it felt too peaceful. Too quiet. Too comfortable for someone like me someone who came from a world on the brink of collapse.

One week. I had been here for a full week. Buying food, trying to cook on my own, fishing at the lake, and finally... making the best bacon I had ever tasted. But all of this was just a pause. A breath of air in the sea of poison that is this world.

And now... I must continue walking.

Even though a part of my heart is reluctant, I can’t stay still any longer. The world I come from, no matter how grim and full of screams, is still my home. There are still people waiting for me there. My army, my subordinates... and Sofia. I wonder how they’re doing now. The last I heard through telepathy from the Tyrant now going by Zark he was still in a coma, though his condition had stabilized.

But I didn’t reach out to Zark this time.

After packing and leaving the room key on the reception desk, I stepped out of the inn. The owner the mysterious woman who may or may not be a former noble or royal chef was nowhere to be seen this morning. But I left a note on the counter along with a small yellow crystal as a thank you gift.

My steps took me to my first destination before leaving this city for good: the Adventurers’ Guild.

The building hadn’t changed much. Still crowded, still full of people bustling about, and still carrying that familiar scent a mix of metal, blood, and the faint, ever-present smell of fermented ale soaked into the old wooden floors.

As I stepped inside, several gazes turned toward me. Maybe because I hadn’t been around much, or maybe because of my undead aura which, although not aggressive, still stood out amidst the demon, elves, warewolf and beastkin.
