Tang San’s Twin Sister

Chapter 234

Yin, after she finished hanging and nagging Jiang until he started to huff and finally accepted her non-apology, was not quite sure if she was there yet. She knew he would’t forgive it, but at least they had found some common ground.

She smiled and then leaned against Jiang's shoulder as she was eating dinner under the observant eyes of the people from the blue lightning tyrant dragon, whose eyes followed her and lingered on Jiang more often than not.

Jiang had not left her side ever since she had vanished. Her sixth ring. Another Century millennium spirit beast ring and reach level 70, that was manageable. Well, not the ring part, but the level 70 part was.

When she told Jiang, he stilled for a moment, then frowned and sighed. She smiled and patted his back.

"I think..." He said. "...we need to head north."

"North?" She was surprised by his suggestion. "North Where?"

"The Arctic Lands. The far north." He said. "For your seventh spirit ring. Specifically, we would be aiming for a material named Iceflowers Dawn."

She hummed and mentally flipped through the Grandmaster's lessons. Never heard of it, iceflowers, yes, but not a material called Iceflower Dawn.

"What is that?" She asked him, confused.

"It is...a being of heaven and earth. Not a spirit beast, how should I call it, more a natural phenomenon that occurs in the heart of the Arctic Lands." He explained. "It is more spirit beats lore than human lore."

"Lore?"

"Once upon a time, there was the dragon clan. Well... the entire story is too long to tell, but let us say there was a war, and primordial dragons were mostly lost. There is Di Tian left, a beast god, and me...Although I am not a primordial dragon. I have dragonic race blood, but I am more of a morongel in comparison."

"Alright....and that has to do with the iceflower Dawn in how far?"

"It's a dragonic treasure. Or rather, a piece of dragon remains. One of the great dragons that fell in the war was the ice beast dragon. You know that sometimes spirit rings manifest in the graveyard's stones and rocks. The spirit beast graveyard is the place where the war happened, and while it is impossible to determine whose power seeped into the stone... occasionally it's quite...obvious, I'd say. Those few stones were scattered by the previous gravekeeper, before me, and one of them was the primordial dragon's stone. Iceflower Dawn."

"So it is basically a rock with a guaranteed century millennium spirit ring, possibly like my wings a spirit bone and a consciousness?"" She asked.

"Most likely yes...but the Arctic Lands, even on flight, take over three months to reach. And while I do know where Iceflower Dawn is...well, reachable would be something else."

"It would be a several-month trip to go there, then we have to find an obscure location you remember from ages ago and on top of that, once we find it, get all the way until that stone...and then it's still not guaranteed I get that ring?"

"Yes."

"Sounds cosy. I have had worse odds, but I will be off-grid again for a while. I have to tell Bro before I head away." She mumbled, and Jiang nodded. “And settle the family matter...which bro is insisting on. I won’t let him go there alone...not feeling good about that one.”

"Yes. We will be off-grid for over a year, at least if we do that." He said. "It is not going to be easy."

"When was ever something easy?" She muttered and leaned into Jiang. "So first San, then the artoc lands...We need to stock up on winter clothes. It's going to be freezing up there."

"You do know I don't feel cold." Jiang pointed out. "I am a dragon."

"You are kidding, right?" She muttered. "That is mean."

"Not meaner than ripping you out of your thoughts, someone wants to talk to you." He nodded, and she turned, seeing the clanmaster of blue lightning, tyrant dragon. "I highly doubt he wants to speak with me."

"So do I." She agreed as she spotted his eyes firmly on her, silently asking her to come over. Getting up from her position, she walked towards him and stopped in front of the towering man.

"What is it?" She asked. "Is there an issue?"

"No. But the clan elders and I have finally decided what to do with the clan now." He said and looked at her. "I think you have the right to know. Unlike the opinion of the elders."

"Won't that get you into trouble?" She asked him.

"Sure. But I am a clan master." He said and then stared at his people. "And you saved many of ours."

"I hope so. So it was worth it at least." She muttered.

"We will leave." He then said. "Let the world believe that the blue lightning tyrant dragon is dead. We are deeply weakened, many lives were lost, the spirit masters we do have left are either blood young and had their responsibilities within the evacuation or like me, heavily weakened. In this state, we would be ripe for the pickings of any enemy, unable to protect our civilian members and our own children...children who are our only shot for the future."

"I see." She nodded. "You will leave then, any plan or idea where you will be heading to?"

"No." He shook his head. "But somewhere where no one will be searching for us in the time being...I want you to tell my son." He sounded almost gentle. "So he will not worry. He and many members outside cannot be informed that we need to act quickly. If you meet any of them. Please tell them... their clan is still alive, breathing, and will come back thriving one day. This I promise."

"It's going to be a hard path to walk on." She nodded, looking at the many people starting to pack their things slowly.

"Yes." Yu Tianlong nodded. "It will. But rest assured, Miss Tang, whatever your real name is. If Tang Sect and your people ask for help, we will help. You have our allegiance and loyalty in this battle."

"Thank you." She smiled and then looked at the others present. "Tang will also help. Whatever is within our small ability, we are a petite clan, so we can only do so much." She fiddled with her storage, then handed Tianlong a card.

"I don't know how much it will help. But this is a small store, at Vast Sea City, associated with us. They have the means to contact us whenever they like, although no guarantees for the speed." She made a face. "Some of us tend to go off-grid. Also...I don't know how much you will need it, but they build custom prostheses." She wiggled with her missing arm stump. "Like the mechanical Arm you saw, that is their speciality. Nothing to go up against a title doulou with but good for everyday life."

He grabbed the card tighter. "It's not cheap." She hesitated a moment. "But when you see them, or need some of that, tell them. "Tang Yin sends her regards."

"Tang Yin?" He asked, and she smiled. "Yes. Sister to Tang San. Tell them just that Tang Yin with the lizard wings sends regards."

He nodded. "I will."

"When will you be gone?" She asked and looked at the people.

"We depart tomorrow." He said, and she nodded.

"Good luck. May fortune be with you."

"We will need it."
