Her broken painful voice jagged at my heart. I shouldn’t have left her side today but because of the asshole tied with the chains, I had to.
My hands tightened into balls of steel and I wanted to rip his head off his body for making me miss such essential moments.
Giving him another death glare I told Hades with clenched teeth.
"Take care of him, I need to get to my wife."
"Don’t worry. You go be at our Queen’s side. I will handle everything here."
He handed me a handkerchief to wipe my hands and face. I couldn’t go to the hospital looking like I had just butchered someone. Although there was no time to change my shirt which had blotches of blood splattered on the front.
My feet rapidly moved as I left the dungeon. My car was waiting for me with a substitute driver available.
Before he could open the door for me, I quickly said, "I will drive."
He bowed and respectfully stepped aside. I rammed the Bluetooth device in my ear so I could receive calls directly.
Driving like a madman, I didn’t even care for the red lights. I needed to get to her, hold her hand and ensure she was safe.
Giving birth was an arduous and painful process and I had to be by her side.
