Chapter 283: A Kiss In The Rain

I hadn’t imagined her to come in this blinding rain, which came out of nowhere.
She had gone to sleep, and I heard her snore for a while before her phone turned off, and the call ended.
I had hoped she would wake up in the morning but my precious Phoenix was anything but predictable.
Caysir had asked me several times to sit inside the car but I thought it wouldn’t serve the purpose. Her father needed to know I was serious and meant what I said.
I had sent him a few more loud messages but the old man was ignoring me.
The rain drenched me, the fast winds numbed my senses and I found my body shivering. Stubborn as I was, I stood there letting the freaking cold claw into my flesh and bones.
A cigarette would have been nice; my body craved it like an addiction, but I would never smoke again.
And then the main gate opened and she emerged, carrying an umbrella and an attitude higher than the tallest building in the world. Her anger so visibly rested on the tip of her red nose that I wanted to kiss it.
It was cold, and rainwater was everywhere; she could slip. I wouldn’t let her.
"Arata! You shouldn’t be here," I said, concernedly, taking a step towards her, but she blasted me with her angry words while covering me with her umbrella.
