Chapter 118: She Left Annoyed
(Karsten)
I hadn’t planned to get so annoyed. But the thought of another man touching her didn’t sit right with me and I ended up losing control and saying things I shouldn’t have in the first place.
Jealousy was an ugly emotion—an emotion I was not familiar with. Especially when it came to a woman.
’So what did you want, that she would choke to death? Chan was only helping her,’ my brain reprimanded me.
’Well, Miranda could have done it.’ I made excuses I shouldn’t have been making.
The real reason was that I was getting possessive. So when she confronted me and told me I couldn’t control her life, I became petty.
I said the words I should never have while advancing towards her with anger sprouting from every pore of my skin.
"What if he is the one stalking you? Did you think about that? Or are you too occupied ignoring all the signs because he is your friend?" I mocked, not even recognising my own voice.
What was I even doing? Fighting with her like a jealous, overprotective boyfriend.
Her small mouth opened in shock at my words, and her ever-shining eyes blazed like blue wildfire at that moment. She gave me an incredulous look as if I was an alien she was seeing for the very first time and not the man she had come to know in the past two months.
Too far, I had gone too far.
