My CEO Boss Is A Masked Internet Sensation

Chapter 64: Bad Memory

(Karsten)

Checking the footage from her office’s camera, I found that she was indeed texting someone, and it was no one else but her Mom, Skyla Zyair, the sole owner of Adam’s Corporation. The company was a frontrunner in the import and export trade of Angel City and I wasn’t even surprised.

Skyla was the daughter of the most successful business couple in Angel City and no matter how she disguised herself, I had always known.

We had specifically chosen her, and to our surprise, she had accepted our job offer and applied for the position of my secretary. And now she was using her connections to help me even though I had acted as a jerk with her.

Her actions warmed my ever-so-cold heart, the one I didn’t wish to feel these tantalising emotions was touched. The phone call was legit and I knew the shipment would arrive the next day.

Deciding to ask her if she would confess, I called her into my office once Ranold had left, but just as I had expected, she denied it completely and rather calmly.

She, indeed, was a woman full of mysteries and didn’t want her cover to be blown.

I didn’t push her and let her go, but I couldn’t wait for the day when she would realise I had always known about her identity, although I had not seen her much before. For the daughter of such a powerful couple, she had always kept a low media profile. Maybe she hated the reporters as much as I did and wished to keep her life private.

Once Arata was gone, I also left my office to head home. Olphi picked up my suitcase as we arrived at the basement parking lot and there I heard her scream. It pierced my heart, and frantically, my legs rushed in the direction of where I had heard her voice coming from. Olphi was on my heels as I spotted her. Standing in front of her new car she was staring down at a piece of paper.
