Chapter 49: My Boss Made Me Tea

Menstrual cramps were painful, they were a real bitch. For me, periods always came with immense pain on the first day.
And happening right in front of my boss while having dinner with his family.
Embarrassment coated every inch of my body as I cleaned myself. I had one emergency pad and underwear in my purse but didn’t bring spares as I wasn’t expecting my period for another four days.
Way to embarrass me, body. I was mortified and didn’t know how I was going to face him every time.
On top of that Karsten had to see me in such a vulnerable state. But a smile appeared on my face remembering how he had rushed to help me, concern lining deep on his serious face.
I washed the pretty dress using hand soap, a trick to remove bloodstains and hoped I hadn’t completely ruined the magnificent garb.
The pain rippled through me and I knew I had to go lie down.
Having no strength to open my suitcase and take out a night apparel I selfishly grabbed the black shirt Karsten had loaned me and put it on. It was soaked in his scent, reassuring and calm. I couldn’t help but take in deep breaths as I moved towards the bed and slipped under the blanket to fight the blinding pain.
As soon as I closed my eyes, Karsten’s bare chest flashed in my brain. The man was all hard muscles with his serpent tattoo hissing at the onlookers. His body reminded me of Twisted Riders as both of them were almost the same height.
The pain was forgotten with the remembrance of blissful moments as my thoughts were consumed by the two men I was now hanging between and I wished for warm arms to embrace me.
