Chapter 366: Unromantic? Never
The ladies were done with dinner at a quarter past nine. They quickly tidied the dining table before moving to their next agenda — watching a movie together. But showering came first.
"Lari! Look! Wear it tonight. We’ll match."
Madeline proudly handed the confused Lariette a plastic bag before the latter disappeared inside her bedroom. Blinking, she took the item out, only to see pastel pink pajamas with little strawberries, hearts and clouds.
Lariette beamed, "This is cute! Thanks, Maddie."
Madeline smiled, "Mine’s in purple. Anyway, I gonna shower too. See you soon."
Lariette chuckled as she watched Madeline rush to the empty guest room, her footsteps echoing in the hallway. She ran a palm over the fabric, feeling how soft it was.
The ladies didn’t take long to shower. In less than half an hour, Lariette and Madeline, now changed into matching pajamas, gathered in the living room with a bag of sour gummies and a tub of caramel-glazed popcorn.
Lariette braided her long hair loosely, draping over one shoulder while Madeline pulled her hair into a messy bun. They curled up on the couch, watching a classic romantic comedy movie.
"Whew~ I forgot how fun this was," Madeline said, grabbing a handful of popcorn.
"Hehe, it’s been ages," Lariette replied, glancing at Madeline with a smile in her eyes, "We haven’t done any sleepovers in months. The last one was back during my summer break."
