Chapter 247: Favorite Things to Do in Autumn

The crisp autumn breeze rustled the leaves of the tree outside the classroom. The morning sunlight cast a golden glow inside, bathing the entire room under its lights.
Lariette had just stepped inside the classroom for the sixth graders, preparing to give them lessons. The wall clock pointed to a nine.
Lariette intended to start the week’s first lesson with something easy and entertaining. Some of the students looked bored already despite being early into the school hours.
Standing at the front while facing the students, Lariette clapped her hands once, "Okay, class! It’s autumn now, right? We’re going to write about our favorite things to do in autumn. What do you think?"
"Yes!"
"Ms. Elsher, should we share ideas?"
"Ah! I wanna be the first, then!"
Some students eagerly responded, while several hands shot up. Lariette chuckled seeing the children’s enthusiasm. Only a few seemed lackluster about it, but she didn’t feel the need to point it out.
"Okay. We’ll start with Annette," Lariette smiled, pointing to a girl sitting in the middle row, "Annette, what do you like to do when autumn comes?"
The girl called Annette giggled before saying, "Jumping in leaf piles, Ms. Elsher. Hehe, my sister and I always run and jump right in when our dad rakes them up."
