Chapter 240: Stepping Into A Dream
The afternoon nap left both Lariette and Ruediger feeling more refreshed. Instead of waking her up after half an hour, he only did so nearly one hour later.
"You slept so soundly. It’s not bad getting more nap," was what Ruediger told Lariette when she asked him why.
Leaving the cozy little cabin, Lariette and Ruediger were ready for more fun. The sky was still bright as the afternoon sun bathed the area under its golden light.
WonderWhirl Park was still crowded as more visitors filled the streets and the attractions. They chatted excitedly as they left from one ride, going to the next.
"Storybook Hollow?" Lariette muttered.
She stared at the sign in the shape of a storybook, adorned with cursive lettering and soft watercolor illustrations. She saw the drawings of enchanted forests and castles on the sign.
"Yes," Ruediger nodded, one corner of his lips curving up, "It’s a boat ride. Come."
Lariette quickly followed Ruediger, her gaze was still on the entrance where towering trees with twinkling fairy lights framed the area. As they marched forward, they walked under the natural archway, formed by the tree.
"Wow~" Lariette gasped in a pleasant surprise, "Really looks like something straight out of a fairy tale."
Lariette stared at the gentle, winding stream. The floating tiny lanterns above cast their faint glow on the water, causing it to shimmer.
The boarding dock area resembled a medieval village. Cobblestone paths lined up the way where timber-framed cottages stood on the other side of the pathway.
