Chapter 80: Mutated Elf and the Threatened Flower
Juwon’s tears had not yet fully fallen when he heard the elf ask a strange question.
He didn’t understand and muttered softly, "What kind of changes could I even have? Aren’t I just a little sprout? What kind of change could I possibly have? This environment isn’t even suitable for me to grow in, and based on... based on my knowledge, I probably need another two or three hundred years to fully mature?!"
As he spoke, Juwon used his magic power to observe his own condition. It would’ve been better if he hadn’t looked. Once he did, he was so startled that even the tone of his voice changed by the last sentence.
"Crap, how did I get this big?! This can’t be right, did I just sleep for three hundred years?!"
Illiya felt his hand itch; sometimes this ice flower really said things that deserved a beating. Fortunately, the elf was good at regulating his mood, or else there might’ve been a tragic scene of a flower being thoroughly beaten up.
"Of course not. You grew this fast because we used special means. Otherwise, what do you think happened?" Illiya replied with clear irritation.
Juwo ’s tone turned sheepish. "Oh, oh, I see. That’s how it is."
At this point, he wasn’t just socially dead—he was thoroughly embarrassed.
"But the reason we used those special means to help you grow is that we have a request." Illiya laid everything out clearly. "We hope you’ll join us in attending a plant appreciation festival. Are you willing?"
Juwon had only just begun recovering from his embarrassment when he was hit with this statement. He thought about it seriously for a while, though it wasn’t clear what prompted him to ask the question that followed.
He cautiously asked, "...What will happen if I say no?"
