Karl was totally shook, staring at the weird notification popping up on his system screen.

His eyes shifted from the screen to the two new employees standing not far from him. They seemed pretty normal, although their skin did look kinda paler than usual. But what did that notification mean? Were they not regular humans?
Karl tried to keep a level head, pushing aside his growing curiosity. He observed them more closely.
One of them had long straight black hair cascading down to their shoulders, with slightly melancholic eyes, while the other had a slim body and a narrow face with a flat expression. They got straight to work and seemed busy organizing some items on the shelves.
Karl cautiously approached them. "Hey, you guys are the new employees, right?" he inquired in a friendly tone, although his eyes kept on scrutinizing their movements.
"Oh, yeah, we just started today," replied one of them in a normal voice, but for some reason, something felt off to Karl.
The system suddenly gave two more notifications.
