Karl flashed a smug grin as he leaned back on the couch. The mind-bending power of the Common Sense Maker had spread far and wide, and he knew that at this very moment, hundreds—maybe even thousands—were ensnared in its system's grip.
In a split second, writers and readers from all corners of the world had fallen prey to its hijack, oblivious to the fact that their desire to support the NovelFire stemmed from something unnatural.
Suddenly, he clutched his head in both hands.
"Oh no! Are my mom and sister going to splurge their cash to gift that smut book too?"
The shock hit him like a tiny electric shock, surprising and avoidable in an instant.
Karl sighed, feeling relieved, and mumbled, "There's no way they'll stumble upon a smut novel like that. Algorithm will never give them a chance."
"Besides, their reads are probably about some CEO falling in love with a random girl or about wives getting hurt and then being visited by unrealistic luck."
"Aunt? hmm... especially her, her favorite novels are the ones that romanticize sexual harassment and infidelity."
"Even if they read smut, the book must be filled with unrealistic alpha werewolf or some vampire. For sure they will never touch a book with some degenerate MC, and Algorithm-kun will never show them anyway, Hahha..."
Karl shook his head, attempting to shake off those unsettling thoughts.
