The air still shimmered from the violent clash. Stone dust hung like fog. Shattered rock fragments rolled across the floor, some still crackling with leftover energy.
And in the middle of it all, standing tall and completely unbothered, was Creed.
His shirt was fluttering gently from the shockwave, his spear humming with power, and his face lit up with that confident grin that said, Yeah, I just did that.
The red-and-black knight, the so-called mini boss of this area, had exploded into pieces — not blood and gore, but thick chunks of enchanted armor and stone.
The knight’s core had shattered with a final BOOM, sending out a blast of heat and light that carved a crater where he’d stood.
Creed hadn’t even moved from his final stance. One hand gripped his spear, the other hung loose by his side, and his feet were planted like roots in the earth.
All two of his offensive paths; Path of Killing, Path of Freedom, and his shimmering Spear Domain had fused together like old friends coming together for one glorious beatdown, and the result had been pure annihilation.
Above him, like a leaf on the wind, the Flame of Merit floated down lazily.
It spun and danced in the air, flickering with golden-red fire like it had a mind of its own. It reminded one of a proud little diva that refused to land quickly.
Creed rolled his eyes at the dramatic descent but still smiled, and as soon as the flame drifted close enough, he reached out and caught it in his palm.
The moment his fingers closed around it, his badge lit up like a mini sun.
