Chapter 75: Invite Mr Chen to the Dark Union
Alex left the Union building right after saying that, not giving the duo any chance to try persuading him.
Follow them as Mr Chen? Then how was he supposed to go on the raid as Alex?
That won’t do, so he had to reject them.
Alex soon reached the alley where he usually changed into his robe and mask, returning the two items back to the system after making sure that no one was following him; only after changing back to his usual normal clothes did he start to head home.
Getting home, Alex met everyone in the living room, including his father; the man had returned early today.
Entering the house, Emily informed Alex that their mother had gotten a gift for him. The girl appeared so eager when she blurted this out, she had been suppressing the urge for a long time while waiting for Alex to come back and couldn’t wait to tell him.
Their mother quickly covered her mouth before she could disclose any more information, the girl had a big mouth.
Alex lifted an eyebrow. A gift, what gift? Alex’s curiosity was piqued but his mother didn’t say and told him that he would find out after dinner.
Later that evening after the family finished dinner, Alex was finally allowed to see what the gift was.
Turned out that his parents had decided to get him a communicator from the remaining money after they paid back the debt to that fatty. His mother had gotten the communicator while she was out with Emily earlier today.
Alex was handed the communicator afterwards. He looked at it and saw that it looked just like a phone from his previous world, just that the features were more advanced than a normal phone and the materials for making it were sturdier.
