Chapter 50: A guest
The two boys were frightened as they stared at Alex in front of them; they didn’t see him reach them.
How was he so fast?!
They turned to look at their friend who had been sent flying by Alex’s slap. The building crumbled, and the boy lay on the debris. Although he didn’t look injured, he had passed out!
They returned their gazes to Alex, their eyes trembling with fear.
"M-monster." One of the boys muttered with difficulty as he stepped backwards; he didn’t dare to take his eyes off Alex again from fear that Alex would suddenly disappear and appear in front of him.
"Hmm? You’re calling me a monster now, didn’t you all agree that I was trash? Why the sudden change of heart?"
Alex asked with a wide grin that made him look like a demon, the boys found it very scary.
Without a moment of hesitation, they abandoned every thought that they had in mind previously and turned around to run.
They even forgot to take their unconscious friend with them; getting away from Alex was more important!
"Running away? We aren’t done yet." Alex let out a wicked chuckle when he saw the two running like they were being chased by a ghost. He stepped forward and appeared beside the lightning mage almost instantly.
With their speed difference, they could only dream of outrunning Alex, who was in the Expert mage rank.
