Chapter 313:Focusing on Overall Development
The laboratory was brightly lit.
On the spacious workbench lay a massive golem. Xieman focused intently as he controlled the wizard's hand, carefully inscribing runes on the golem's body.
After spending nearly half an hour, he finally finished drawing the last rune.
As the rune took shape, a faint glow flashed across the golem's surface, and a lifelike vitality suddenly appeared out of thin air.
Xieman let out a long sigh of relief. He took out a soul crystal and embedded it into the indentation at the center of the golem's chest. With a click, the soul crystal sank into the golem's body, fitting perfectly.
Hum! The golem came to life, sat up, and jumped off the workbench, landing with a thud. It spoke in a muffled, mechanical voice:
"Awaiting orders."
"Go stand over there and enter standby mode," Xieman said, pointing to a corner of the laboratory where over a dozen shadow steel golems were already standing in a row.
"Command received."
The shadow steel golem walked with heavy steps to the corner, joining the queue.
Looking at the rows of shadow steel golems, Xieman's face showed a satisfied smile.
