The howling wind roared across the high sky. Two figures stood side by side, gazing toward the distant cityscape.
"Lady Maisha, do you believe the Star Alliance can withstand the Dark Throne's invasion?" The middle-aged man to the left asked hesitantly.
Draped in a gray robe that concealed his entire figure, his lower body appeared eerily empty. Occasionally, gusts of wind lifted the hem, revealing swirling mist where legs should have been—nothing else.
"Why wouldn't they?" Maisha countered.
Cyril replied, "The Dark Throne has dispatched Yuxi this time. He's one of the most promising candidates to become a Robed King in recent years, with formidable power."
Maisha said flatly, "Su Nan is no ordinary person either. Anyone capable of establishing a wizarding faction on the Star Continent isn't someone who will fall easily."
"That's true enough."
Cyril didn't argue. In truth, he had been astonished when he first learned that a wizard faction had emerged on the Star Continent.
The founder of the Star Alliance genuinely impressed him—such an achievement wasn't something just anyone could accomplish.
"But the Star Alliance's rise has been too rapid. Constrained by the local environment of the Star Continent, their power is inherently limited. Yuxi, on the other hand, is a Tier-3 Crystallized Wizard and controls the Wolf Tide Plane, a beast-infested domain with significant war potential. The odds of the Star Alliance winning are slim."
"Perhaps. We shall see," Maisha said calmly.
