Chapter 219: The Abandoned Sirens

A strong wind blew across the sea, stirring waves on its vast surface. In the middle of the ocean lay a sea area with a deeper hue, resembling a sapphire embedded in the water.

From above, it appeared like a blue eye, giving the "Azure Eye" its name.

Beneath the sea, hundreds of meters deep, stretched a complex of structures built atop coral reefs. The hollow reefs had been transformed into exquisite homes.

Between the reefs, small buildings made from coral, shells, seaweed, and stone were scattered, creating a picturesque underwater village.

Beautiful sirens sat atop the coral reefs, their snake-like tails swaying gently as they sang. Though surrounded by water, their voices carried clearly, as if resonating directly within one's mind.

At the center of this complex was a grand palace, towering above the surrounding buildings, enhancing its majestic presence.

More astonishing was the absence of water around the palace, forming an air-filled bubble-like area, a hundred meters in radius, as if an invisible force pushed the sea away.

Inside the depths of the palace, in a spacious hall, the light from whale oil lamps illuminated the entire room. Aida knelt before a long table, her posture reverent as she chanted strange syllables.

As the melodious sound spread, strands of starlight appeared out of nowhere, crisscrossing and forming the outline of a book on the table, which then materialized.

It was a large book, floating in mid-air, its pale green cover facing downward, shimmering with a cold metallic sheen, adorned with a white jade gardenia.

An invisible hand turned the book's pages, revealing a black vortex at the center of one page, slowly expanding until it covered the entire surface.
