Chapter 41: Waiting for This Matter to Conclude
With Amy beside him, Su Nan quietly returned to his room in the tavern.
As soon as he entered, Amy immediately leaped onto the bed, rolling around on the soft sheets.
"Meow, I haven't slept on such a soft bed in days! Tonight, no one will come to catch me!"
"While that's true, have you forgotten some important things?"
Throughout the journey back to the tavern, Su Nan had been mentally preparing himself, emphasizing to himself that he meant no harm to Amy. He was now ready to start gently guiding her.
Sprawled on the bed, Amy lifted her head at his words, pondering for a moment before suddenly remembering something.
"Meow, I almost forgot! I still need to get my master's things back!"
The little cat jumped onto Su Nan's lap, looking at him with watery eyes.
"Su Nan, you will help me, right?"
It was good that she remembered.
Su Nan displayed a warm smile, scratching Amy under the chin. "Of course, we're friends."
