The heavy, black iron door was engraved with strange patterns, intertwined and radiating an air of profound mystery.
Kyi and the others were baffled, but Sunan recognized the patterns at a glance.
Enchantment runes!
The structure of the runes wasn't complex; they seemed to be a simple magic trap.
If anyone touched the door, it would trigger an alert and attack the intruder.
However, the runes were dim and lifeless, clearly deactivated, likely due to the erosion of time.
Even the most intricate enchantment runes couldn't withstand the relentless passage of time.
"Is that iron door the entrance to where the Iron-Swallowing Beasts are made?"
Kyi looked at Sunan, who nodded and added a warning, "Be careful, those beasts won't just let us in."
As if to echo his words, as soon as he finished speaking, Iron-Swallowing Beasts emerged from the rock walls on both sides of the door, lunging towards them with ferocious growls.
Prepared for this, the knights shouted and met the attack head-on.
