Chapter 52
Moments later, I lost it. Emerging from the store behind Lily was Logan, grinning like a Cheshire cat in jeans and a T-shirt, his arms laden with shopping bags. He said something to Lily, his smile sleazy, and hurried to catch up with her. His thick, short arm went around her slender waist, his hand brazenly cupping her backside through her thin skirt. Lily barely reacted, not even flinching, letting his hand linger at her waist, a sliver of white skin visible between her top and skirt.
My mind went blank, and I could hardly believe my eyes. I stood there, stunned, as they slowly walked into a nearby movie theater. Feeling all sorts of things, I quickly ran out of the cafe and carefully followed them.
That was it I couldn’t take anymore of this shit something must be done and I knew what to do just haven’t done it since don’t know why I couldn’t do it but this night, arrrghh there’s gonna be some changes
I stepped into the empty movie theater. The lobby was deserted, with only the deep corridors echoing the low hum of the movie’s sound. I stood at the entrance, feeling lost. Was that really my girlfriend Lily? I couldn’t believe it. Just this morning, a few hours ago, we’d been lying in bed together. I could still smell her perfume on my skin. Now, it all felt like a cruel lie.
At dawn, Lily’s phone had chirped softly, waking her. Her smooth, white body slipped from my embrace. Half-awake, I’d watched her sit on the edge of the bed in the dim light. She wore one of my white silk shirts, one bare shoulder gleaming softly. Through the thin fabric, I could see the curve of her back, her slender waist, and the swell of her buttocks barely concealed by a white thong. The sight made my throat tighten.
Thinking about how I had filled Lily’s tender body with my love last night, my heart felt sweet. I’d reached out and touched her thigh. "Lily? Off to work on your thesis again? Want me to come with you?"
Startled, she’d flinched, then quickly recovered. "Ethan, you need to rest. You worked hard last night. I’ll go on my own." She’d tied back her long hair and stood. The weak light from the window outlined her tall, graceful figure, making her look like a goddess, an angel.
"Sir? Which movie would you like to see?" a low female voice said.
My drifting thoughts were snapped back to reality by the voice. I looked away from the dark corridor inside the theater and saw a chubby woman in her forties behind the ticket counter glass.
