Chapter 31
Logan had always been a player, hitting on girls left and right—international students, locals, Celestial U girls, townies. But honestly, I'd only ever seen him bring a girl home once. A flashy, older white woman who was clearly, shall we say, a professional.
But this time was different. Sitting across from Logan was this average-looking East Asian girl. She was cute but not exactly a head-turner. Early twenties, not very tall, with a simple ponytail. She wasn't stunning, but her skin was fair and had that youthful glow. She was dressed pretty conservatively in jeans and a plain white T-shirt. Slim but well-proportioned.
I squinted for a second and realized she looked familiar. She was also an international student at Celestial University. We'd bumped into each other a few times and chatted, but I couldn't remember her name.
Logan and the girl seemed a bit taken aback to see me and didn't say anything at first. I broke the ice with, "Hey, Logan, long time no see." Ever since Logan had caught me and Lily last time, he'd been avoiding me, and we hadn't talked much in the past month. But this time, his eyes didn't show any hesitation, like he'd finally moved on.
He was surprised at first but quickly got his cool back. "Hey, Ethan. Yeah, it's been a while. Oh, let me introduce you to my girlfriend, Mia Wilson. She's also from Celestial University."
"Hi, Ethan, Logan's mentioned you a lot," Mia said politely. "Hey, don't be so formal. You two enjoy your evening," I replied casually.
Seeing Logan with a girlfriend made me feel a bit down, especially since I wouldn't see my girlfriend for a month. I didn't feel like chatting much, so I headed upstairs to my room.
Once in my room, I went online and had a quick call with Lily. She sounded tired, and we hung up after a few minutes. With nothing else to do, I dug out some old porn videos from my hard drive. But after being with someone as stunning and sexy as Lily, those videos just felt dull and boring.
Feeling tired from packing up my stuff at Lily's place earlier, I washed up, turned off the lights, and lay down. Even though I wasn't that sleepy, I eventually drifted off.
Half-asleep, I was woken up by noises from the other side. It sounded like a man and a woman talking. The three rooms upstairs were in a row, with Jack's room in the middle, which should be empty now. Hearing two people in a room so late at night meant the girl was staying over.
I chuckled to myself. Logan used to envy my setup with Lily. Now the tables had turned.
I dismissed the thought and drifted back to sleep. Then, the moans started.
