Chapter 275: A New Experiment
After discussing a few matters Ye Xuan left the apartment and went to the eighteenth floor to talk to the professors before going back to his apartment.
He remembered the maggots they had caught the last time with Chu Miao, which he hadn’t had the chance to give to the professors for research.
As soon as the door opened, Professor Song was already talking his ear off. He was telling him about the difficulty of working without a proper laboratory or specimen and how they needed other reagents for their research but didn’t have.
The guy had a lot to say and shifted from one topic to another without warning. Ye Xuan always wondered how such a talkative person had made it in academia. He could literally talk someone to death.
"Major Ye, what brings you here today?" Professor Wu had to come to the rescue when he realized that his colleague had started his usual habit of talking nonstop when he was excited.

"I brought something to you. It is some specimen we found a while ago in a dessert cafe. There were spoilt cakes and other food in the cafe with maggots in it.
However, the maggots were different from normal ones. There were several types of maggots, or maybe they were the same type just at different stages of mutation. I don’t know.
Some had wings and they were bigger than regular maggots. You can examine them yourself and study them. Maybe they can give you an insight on the zombie virus.
As for the reagents you mentioned, tell me where they can be found and I will see if I can find some for you. The laboratory you mentioned can be arranged, but not at the moment.
The problem is, if you decide to do research in the laboratory we build, you can never leave. Think about it. The place has to be kept an absolute secret, so going in means never coming out. Don.t worry, you won’t be living in an underground laboratory without sun or breeze. It is a normal place where you can go outside and get some fresh air, but it is an isolated place where once you enter, you cannot come out.
