Back on the twelfth floor, Fang Yao went back home and found his father had cleaned every corner of the house and sprayed disinfectant everywhere.
He had also wiped the counter in the kitchen, tables, chairs, and every other spot that could be wiped with disinfectant.
Since they had run out of bottled water to drink, Mr. Fang had also boiled a huge pot of water and put it aside to cool for drinking.
They didn’t have enough food, and would probably starve soon unless he went outside to scavenge. However, they couldn’t lack water for drinking.

He placed the hotpot he brought on the table and called his father to come and eat.
Mr. Fang was surprised when his son opened the hotpot and placed the layered bowls on the table.

So, the appearance of the food after not seeing it for long didn’t matter too much to him. For him, even a bowl of plain porridge was okay.
However, the fact that someone was willing to give them so much food when others would turn into thieves to snatch even a packet of noodles was touching.
