Chapter 224: First Meal
"Okay." Chu Hao got up and left. With spiritual energy, even if he wasn’t a speedster he could still get to the twentieth floor in less than a minute.
He walked in and called out to his mother who immediately gave him the soup and also went to the store room to get the disposable plates.
Luckily, the family had left some of everything in the apartment and didn’t need Chu Miao to take things out of the soul ring all the time.
"You can go ahead. We’ll be there soon." Mother Chu said as she shooed Chu Hao out the door and followed behind him to get to the roof.
She had to go to the roof to call her husband and Butler Cheng. When they decided to share vegetables with the other team members the day before, they gave the excuse that they had planted plenty of vegetables and fruits in the green house on the roof.
However, in reality, there wasn’t a single vegetable or fruit tree in that green house. Luckily, they had bought some soil and ready made raised beds when they were buying seeds and other planting supplies.
Now they came in handy. It would be too difficult to explain where they got such fresh vegetables and fruits if someone curious sneaked to the roof and found nothing.
Now, they had really begun planting food on the roof and Mother Chu still had to wait until planted and watered to use her wood spiritual energy and superpower to hasten their growth.
Her husband and the butler had spent their entire morning there setting up the raised beds and planting.
Funny enough, they could have used their spiritual energy to plant them faster and get it over with in a short time. But both of them insisted that it was the process that they cherished.
So, they were taking their time to complete each step of planting the vegetable seeds and watering them.
