He had said the previous night that they would seek Ye Xuan’s opinion about this matter and he meant it.
"General Li is an upright man and I believe we share the same goal. So, I don’t see a problem in having them join us.
Having more people means having more power and human resources. We will need a lot of that, so it’s a good idea to have someone of upright moral character and integrity like General Li in our camp." Ye Xuan said.
He knew that Grandpa Chu and General Li were close friends. Since Grandpa Chu could remain friends with him for so many years, then he didn’t have many shortcomings.
At the very least, he must be morally upstanding. Ye Xuan prefered such a person joining them than others who would likely care more about power.
"Then I will call Old Li later to let him know. Bunny, take Ye Xuan to your room to show him around before he leaves. Since you guys are together, it’s only right he knows where you sleep." Grandpa Chu suggested.
Everyone of course knew that his aim was not for Chu Miao to show Ye Xuan around. They were giving the two space to spend time together and cultivate their feelings.
Another important reason was that Chu Miao could decide whether to let Ye Xuan know about some things that are deemed a secret.
If Chu Miao decided to tell Ye Xuan, they would respect her decision.
