Chapter 121: A Blessing in Disguise
"Yes, we accept." All of them said in unison.
"Alright then. Tomorrow let’s talk to Ye Xuan about this and seek his opinion too. Then I’ll call old Li and let him know about our decision.
"Okay everyone, let’s go eat our dinner. It’s already very late now. I don’t have the energy to cook. Darling, can you get some of the food cooked by our chefs before? We can eat that for dinner tonight." Mother Chu suggested as everyone stood up to go wash their hands before heading to the dining room.
"Okay mom, I’ll lay the dishes on the table as you all wash hands." Chu Miao replied and stood up to go in the direction of the dining room.
While the family had dinner together, Ye Xuan started feeling uncomfortable in his apartment. However, he didn’t tell anyone. Even when his brothers came to eat together with him and find out about the supplies he and the Chu siblings managed to collect, he didn’t say a word about his injuries and how uncomfortable he felt at that moment.
Once they were gone, Ye Xuan went straight to his bedroom and took a shower. He had thought he would feel better with a cold shower but nothing happened.
He was still uncomfortable and running a fever even after twenty minutes of staying under the cold water.
Seeing no change, he got out of the shower, got dressed, and sat down cross-legged on the bed to meditate and cultivate.
Even though Chu Miao had asked him to go look for her mother if anything happened, he didn’t think he was mutating as he could feel all the senses in his body.
