"Why?" He asked with a confused look on his face.
Looking at his clueless expression, Chu Miao knew that he didn’t understand the hidden meaning in the girl’s words and wondered how someone like him could still be so innocent.
"Nothing. Let her be." Chu Miao could only change the topic.
Everyone else held in their laughter when they saw this scene. Grandpa Chu was even more satisfied with the grandson-in-law he had picked. Since he was so clueless, it meant that he was not a player and would be loyal.
That was good for his granddaughter. Having a man who only had eyes for her was the best he could hope for.
As they moved away from that room they could hear the girl’s friend trying to convince her to be polite since they were being saved by strangers. Being so rude was uncalled for.
"Don’t bother about me. You always pretend to be gentle and understanding. Do you think someone among them will take a fancy to you if you pretend to be understanding? Don’t be so naïve."
It was a mean thing to say to a person who was only concerned about you, but the other girl just went on packing as if she was used to such jabs.
The girls from the other rooms had already packed a small backpack each and we’re waiting behind the team.
