Chapter 47: Evolved Mutant Zombies
"Yes Bunny, I almost forgot about that. What did you find out yesterday?" Her brother asked.
"Did any of you use your superpowers yesterday when you were fighting zombies?" Instead of telling them, she asked a question.
The others looked at each other and shook their heads in unison.
"We were trying to get used to our spiritual energy and didn’t use superpowers. I thought I should train one type of energy first before moving to the other." Grandpa Chu explained.
"No wonder you didn’t notice anything. I realized that the energy we use for cultivation and that we use for our superpowers are stored differently." Chu Miao said with a serious look on her face.
"What do you mean?" Father Chu asked with a confused look on his face.
"It’s something I realized when I was fighting. After using up most of my spiritual energy, I wanted to use my water superpower while my spiritual energy recovered.
But I realized that even though it seemed like all the energy was coming from the dantian, there is something like a core laying at the bottom of the dantian."
"If you don’t observe carefully you might miss it. That core is the one that stores the superpower energy. While cultivating in the fog last night I also realized that while absorbing spiritual energy to the dantian, another type of energy was absorbed by the core."
"In that case, it is possible to improve the amount of power stored in the core, therefore, leveling up." Mother Chu made the observation.
"Yes, it’s the same as cultivation. The more one cultivates, the more spiritual energy they can store in their dantian and the more their chances of breaking through to a higher level." Chu Miao continued.
