On the other side, Chu Miao and her brother found themselves on a floor full of shops selling shoes. All types of shoes. This time, they did sweep everything but chose to take sneakers, hiking boots, flat sandals for wearing inside the house, snow boots, and rain boots.
They only took what was practical and left the rest.
The next floor had generators and batteries. They took twenty heavy-duty generators, fifty small noiseless generators, and fifty regular gasoline generators. They also took all the batteries they could find.
The reason they didn’t take any more generators was that one of the heavy-duty generators could last up to fifty years. If it is well maintained, it could last for more. Keeping the generators in Chu Miao’s warehouse when not in use could allow one generator to last up to a hundred years.
So, they had enough generators to last them for a millennium. Also, they had bought some generators before when buying supplies.
The last floor had offices. They knew there weren’t many supplies there but they still decided to go and take the office furniture with them. They were of high quality and may become handy in the future.
In the end, they didn’t leave empty-handed. They found a few pounds of good and expensive tea in the general manager’s office and took it for their grandfather.
After that, they decided to leave. It was almost lunchtime, and there were no restaurants for them to eat.
