Chapter 18: 10 Days to the Apocalypse
Leaving the factory with the rolls of material that had already been loaded into the truck, the duo drove for a short distance and parked along the road in a place without CCTV. They didn’t care if there were other cars on the road as they wouldn’t be able to tell what Chu Miao was doing once she got into the back of the truck.
She put the materials in the space and went back to sit with her mother in the front of the truck.
"Mom, where are we going now? It looks like we are done with clothes."
"Yes, we are done. We’ll just go to collect the blankets and bed sheets we bought today in the warehouse your father rented later. Now, let’s go buy daily necessities and feminine products."
Saying that they spent the rest of the day in factories buying shampoo, shower gels, body oils, lotions, body creams, sanitary pads, tampons, wet wipes, shaving razors, and shaving creams for the men in the house.
They also bought large quantities of toothpaste, toothbrushes, hand sanitizers, hand wash, toilet paper, and portable toilets.
They had a quick lunch and continued with their shopping spree until 4 o’clock when they went to collect the supplies that had been delivered in the warehouse before going home.
That evening after dinner, the family met again in the study to take stock of everything they had bought before entering the space to cultivate.
In the space, Chu Miao remembered that she had forgotten to give her family members the spirit awakening pills the day before and brought them out.
