It was more than enough to spark the fire.
Ferdinand kissed her back, revealing the hunger that hadn’t subsided yet. He was holding back indeed.
Arabella missed him too, and she could not sleep anyway. Thus, she did her best to keep up with his stamina, and they did it over and over again until she passed out.

Ferdinand was no longer in bed either. He must have gone to attend the morning Court Sessions as he promised yesterday.
The curtains were still shut, so she got up to open them.
There was a robe ready for her on the bedside table, so she picked it up.
She walked to the full-body mirror nearby, still naked, and checked her body.
