Darcus and Orpheus both fixed their postures and tried to look their best though it was obvious they tensed up as Evania gazed at them and was evaluating them in her mind.
[Darcus had a huge build like Her Majesty’s guard Rendell since he was among the strongest warriors among the Shadows. Despite others saying that keeping a body was a weakness, Darcus was perfectly strong and not vulnerable in his body.
[Orpheus has a build like Alwin since his focus was also magic. He is the most powerful in our territory when it comes to magic. And he had not gotten rid of his body either despite most magicians in our territory doing so, saying it was to not have any weakness.
[They are indeed equally outstanding and kind. They have both searched and waited for me even when they were unsure if I was alive or not. Isn’t it quite cruel to choose between them? Do I really have to make a choice?]
"I don’t want to choose between you two," Evania said and the two looked like their soul was shattered.
[So, her choice was Alwin after all. Someone else stole her heart while she was here.] Darcus and Orpheus were disheartened. They looked visibly depressed.
"Princess Evania, could please clarify what you mean? Are you saying you do not like them both? Or you cannot choose between them?" Arabella spoke up since the two misunderstood.
"Oh, what I meant was, as I have answered before you helped me recover some of my memories, you are both so outstanding. I feel bad having to make the choice," Evania explained.
"Can’t I just keep you both?" Evania added.
"Eh?!" Everyone in the room gasped.
