It was a tiring day of Assembly meetings one after the other, so Arabella decided to take a stroll in the flower gardens of the Grand Palace.
It was getting hotter and hotter by the day even though summer was already closing its end. The temperature in Medeus simply kept rising. It made Arabella miss the cool fresh air of Ferdinand’s island.
The flower gardens outside the Grand Palace were still well kept though. The Council had magic tools installed to ensure that the Grand Palace and its surroundings would remain to look fresh and cool despite the blazing summer.
Arabella fanned herself. Irene volunteered to do it for her, but Arabella politely refused since this fan was a gift from her husband. He personally made it for her.
Ferdinand didn’t want Arabella to keep using the ones Alwin provides her, so he made one out of magic while they were in Estrella.
It could turn into a bracelet so she could simply wear it around her wrist when she didn’t need it.
"Your fan is so pretty, Your Majesty! This design is exquisite. It looks elegant and cute at the same time. And the details here are so intricate. This part is... and this..." Renee had a lot of praise for it. She always had a keen eye for pretty things. Her tastes were quite even more sophisticated than Arabella’s.
"Thank you. My husband had it made for me," Arabella smiled at her maid. She couldn’t tell them the emperor made it himself.
[Kyaah! His Majesty is so sweet. Her Majesty made our scary Emperor into such a sweet and caring person.] Carla’s eyes shined. She, on the other hand, was always hyped about anything related to love. And Carla tended to exaggerate things.
