Chapter 217: Once We Return Home
Since Ferdinand had been so honest, Arabella responded in turn.
"Thank you for reflecting on your past actions. I was indeed hurt very much then as I painfully parted with the man I once loved. I had to marry you all of a sudden when from what I know, I had never met you before. But all of it is in the past now. I have moved on from my past lover so I have forgiven you as well. I hope we can make this marriage work well instead. I look forward to our future together," she bent down and kissed her husband’s forehead.
Arabella accepted his apology for the past her, who was hurt so deeply by Ferdinand’s actions.
It took a whole lifetime and now, it is in their second life, that she got to hear these words from him.
This apology meant so much to Arabella.
Her soul could finally truly let go of the ill feelings she once had; caused by how they got married including, the pain it once brought about.
Ferdinand sighed so deeply and thanked Arabella for forgiving him.
Now, it was her turn.
She also had a lot to ask forgiveness for. And most of it, she could not divulge to him yet.
"I am deeply sorry for everything I did and said in the past too. Back then, I was still hurting and angry about everything so I was also just thinking about myself. But now that I had reflected on my actions, I realized I must have hurt you a lot too," Arabella also apologized.
Trying to convince Alwin and Raymond that divorce was best for her and her husband had been so much of shock to Ferdinand that it made him reflect. It did turn out for the better though, it must have truly hurt.
