Chapter 164: You Can Tell Me Anything [Bonus - ]
"Right. My apologies." Ferdinand settled her on the seat and the water was up to her collarbone. He settled himself beside her with just a bit of space in case she got scared again.
Arabella was fine now though since the water would not submerge her even if she rose.
"I’m really sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you," Ferdinand apologized repeatedly for what he did earlier.
Arabella pretended to still be angry until she felt bad and finally accepted his apology.
"I’m sorry for raising my voice earlier. I was in a panic," she also apologized as well.
"It’s alright. I should have been more considerate knowing that you cannot swim," Ferdinand was so forgiving of her. He was rather relieved that she wasn’t angry anymore.
Arabella felt embarrassed when she recalled how childish she had acted earlier. But it was all because she was afraid she would drown.
Ferdinand promised not to laugh at her too. And he didn’t, since he knew she was indeed scared when they were in the deeper part. It was shallow for him but already deep for her.
She was glad he didn’t tease her about it since it was one of her most unreasonable fears. Reason and logic don’t make her stop panicking about it.
"You can stay in the deeper part if you want. I’ll stay here," Arabella said since she felt bad that he wouldn’t be able to enjoy the hot spring.
"No, I want to stay here with you."
