Chapter 33: I Can Afford to Pay
Zhong Lan’s smile froze, and she quickly took Shi An’an’s hand with a soft voice, "How could that be? An An, you are now the hottest new star in the entertainment industry; my career is all thanks to you!"
Shi An’an looked scrutinizingly at Zhong Lan and spoke softly, "Sister Lan, I know you are a smart person. It’s mutually beneficial for us to take what we each need to ensure smooth sailing in the future. But if you don’t side with me, I won’t mind changing my agent."
Zhong Lan cursed Shi An’an in her heart, really riding on the favor of Li Sihe, acting more entitled than a wealthy lady!
But on the surface, Zhong Lan still put on a smile and said gently, "I understand what you mean. Rest assured, I will always stand by your side."
Only then did Shi An’an appear satisfied, finally withdrawing her gaze and mentioning that she was tired and would take a nap first, asking to be told when Yang Shan arrived.
Zhong Lan breathed a sigh of relief, saying okay and was about to leave when the door to the resting room was pushed open.
Yang Shan stood at the door, soaked through like a drowned rat, smiling awkwardly at Shi An’an, "An An, I’ve got the coffee you wanted."
"I thought you were too comfortable outside today to come back for filming," Shi An’an lifted her eyelids and gave Yang Shan an up-and-down scan, her expression teasing, "How did you get so drenched?"
Still smiling, Yang Shan approached Shi An’an and placed the coffee on the table next to her, "The rain outside was quite heavy, but the coffee is fine, don’t worry."
Shi An’an couldn’t stand the sight of Yang Shan’s rain-soaked, yet utterly barren face, wishing she could tear it apart.
