Chapter 18: You Won’t Lose Out
Bian Yue couldn’t help but feel disheartened as she pondered over what to say to build herself an out, but at the next moment, she heard Shen Jinci’s voice.
The man maintained his earlier demeanor, his aura distant and just as intense, not even lifting his eyes as his voice sounded deep and ornate: "Alright."
So resolute, without even probing for details, Bian Yue even doubted if she had heard him correctly.
Now it was Bian Yue who found herself at a loss for words.
The heating was strong, and even soaked through, she wasn’t cold.
Bian Yue looked at Shen Jinci, her expression one of shock at explosive news, still unable to react, just staring blankly.
Shen Jinci, however, raised his eyes with a fleeting smile that, upon closer inspection, seemed as tranquil as ever.
He spoke softly and dispassionately, saying, "I have agreed, my... fiancée."
The words ’my fiancée’, as if being chewed over for a long time, carried such a prolonged sigh.
Bian Yue’s chest began to tingle, an indescribable emotion starting to spread within her.
