Chapter 171: The Story Of Yin And The Fox Guardian {19}
Ava thought her fate was sealed, she has long since accepted death ever since she stepped out of the border... she waited for it and yet begged it to give her time. Time to find her truth and be with William until fate drags her back to Aldon. But the moment his lips pressed against hers gently Ava wished for more.
She longed to be by his side, in his hold, in his arms where she felt protected from anything that might harm her, to stare into his crystal green eyes, and always hear his voice each passing day. She was utterly selfish and wanted things she shouldn’t.
More that can never be given to her if she wanted, she has never wished to truly be with someone not until William. She was scared of her own heart and what it yearns for, its desires for the impossible, something that cannot be no matter how she prayed for it...her fate had been sealed many millennia ago when Aldo cursed her to be with him for eternity.
There was a tied knot to their soul, intertwined and bound by Aldon’s selfish desire. There is nothing that can be done, which only makes it more painful.
"I’m afraid there is nothing I can do for you, young Ava," Basker said and it was only the more shocking reality to them.
But Ava wasn’t surprised by his answer for she knew there was no way but she was more worried about William because each day he was more aggravated by the second. They came to Basker for a solution but there was nothing he could do, even though this place housed knowledge beyond the widest imagination nothing can be done for Ava.
Later that day Basker summoned William.
"William" he began with a serious tone. "What you have gotten yourself into is dangerous"
"What are you trying to say, Basker," William said sternly, not fazed.
"This Aldon is a dangerous being, a balanced nature that went against what he was solely born for, it only leads to chaos and I’m afraid it will destroy everything in its path if it hasn’t already begun"
"I will not let her go back to him. Never" William said with clenched teeth and tightened fists. Basker could clearly see the determination in William’s eyes, and his will to protect Ava even though there was nothing he could do.
