William murmured words to the long scroll and quill and it listens, writing down every catalog of new books that needed to be recorded. William’s eyes scanned the entire books, recently out new, before grabbing one and opening it, scanning through the contents and their contributions to the Realms.
"We’re done for today," he says to the scrolls, and with a wave... it is wrapped back into a folded scroll and floated away towards William’s table in his office.
William continued his scan through the books, flipping the pages and dropping them back to the shelves. But the moment he grabbed one of the books he would review he suddenly felt a warm sensation on his finger. Inquisitive of the sudden action he descended his crystal green eyes to his finger and where an amber ring in the form of gold materialized there. Perplexed and slightly appalled he raised his finger and observed it closely, the otherworldly piece of ring glowing.
Why was a ring on his finger?
He never wore a ring before so how come?
A sharp ringing came to William’s ears and he was forced to cover it, the sound so fierce and almost exploded his eardrums. He squeezed his eyes shut and grabbed onto the shelf for support, his teeth clenched as he tried to bear this sudden pain but it was like the ringing shifted to his head, a sharp migraine followed.
William growled, now holding his head in pure pain, a pain unlike anything he has ever felt, and for a minute William truly believed his brain would explode from the mere fraction of it, a splitting sensation like sparks and waves.
But not until images emerged in his head, it was fast speeding and he couldn’t keep up with it, there were numerous and dictating things he had never seen before. What he clearly observed was a scene in what looked like the forest, and in his peripheral vision, he was walking towards a girl standing with back-length amber hair, dressed in a silver velvet slender gown. And then she turns to him, in a heartbeat, and he locks gaze with vermillion eyes.
William gasped, flashing his eyes open, a feeling finding its way to his hallowed chest, where his frozen heart lies, and it was as if from that mere image a fracture of the ice was melted.
