Chapter 81: Awake

I slowly opened my eyes but I was immediately bedazzled by the lights. I used the back of my hand to rub them before trying again. I blinked not once but twice as I took in the view that stilled my mind and soul.
The biggest of trees surrounds me, so big and wide, their barks covered in the growth of grass around them, they stood so tall at both sides like a hall made of trees leading somewhere.
I cast my eyes down to my bare feet and curled my toes to feel the grass, it was so soft and gentle against my bare feet and it gave me ease. I darted my eyes to the white gown I wore gently flapping by the wind and I blinked. It was beautiful but it didn’t seem like the type of gown I wore back at the castle.
What am I doing here?
The question finally hit me as I took in my surroundings once more, but I couldn’t find an answer to my question, my head was flooded and I couldn’t remember a thing.
Do I have Amnesia?
I remember reading about that word, known as memory loss, a temporary condition when the brain temporarily or permanently forgets something.
Maybe I currently have it... because my memory is just... blank?
I looked around at the solitary scenery. The skies are so bright and reflected on everything I see, giving it a breathtaking view. Why do I get the feeling I have seen this before?
Giant trees stood in beauty and glory on both sides like a hall all leading to a path, a path ahead that I’m more engulfed in curiosity to know what waits at the other end, it felt surreal and I felt pulled... a strong deep connection to it.
