SILVER-HEART

Chapter 59: The Butterfly And Her Master

10 years old William strolled through the forest, the sun at its highest peak, reflecting on the vibrant colors giving it an enchanting view, the forest in this dimension was second to none, and its magnificence was an eye-catching sight.

Williams’s crystal green eyes darted to the library in the distance at the top of the mountain, it was a surreal view as he turned his eyes back to the beautiful scenery that lay before him, the birds chirping loudly but more importantly, it was the peace and change he sought, he closed his eyes for a moment and allowed the breeze to caress his skin and his shoulder-length silver hair.

He sighed and opened his eyes before setting the art supplies he came with, his easel, his canvas, and the variety of colors he would use to express himself, painting was something he does when he needed time to himself, staying in the house of knowledge can only be burdensome, his mind craved something different, maybe peace.

He picked his brush and allowed his innermost mind to set free as he tried to recreate the breathtaking scene, it was hours but that didn’t matter to him, it was all about letting his hands do the magic and painting has always come naturally to him, the same way as breathing... he did his first sketch at the age of two, by randomly sketching Basker and the old man was impressed saying William has a talent.

It was good to have something he would consider his own.

It was already sunset and William was almost through with his work which was merely a recreation of the view. Suddenly a random butterfly descended on Williams’s hand he was using to paint, causing him to pause his action.

He narrowed his eyes on the tiny creature that was distracting him from resuming his painting. But soon it descended to the top of his easel and he was finally able to finish his work.

Done, he finally packed his things up but the butterfly remained, William squatted to his things on the ground where the butterfly was.

"You should leave, I’m not staying here any longer," he said to it, although the butterfly cannot speak back to him he knew it could understand him, he took his time to study it, it had beautiful obsidian wings sparky form the sunlight reflection, it was just as stunning as the view.
