Chapter 13: A Dead Answer
We stood there now and the silence was killing me. I pondered what his next action will be, he wasn’t giving any room for prediction, he was like a cold wall before me ready to consume me. His strange aura was still around him, the dark flames but it wasn’t hostile as it was back then. But that doesn’t mean I should keep my guard down.
I grip his clothes once again hoping I would grab his attention because he was just like a wall standing before me with no life or breathing whatsoever and what scared me the most was... his heart was no longer beating, I couldn’t feel the little vibration anymore, was he dead? I don’t think so, more like he was frozen in time, I was mentally panicking!
Please stop... say something or go away, I don’t think I can bear this anymore. I gave him pleading eyes as best as I could muster but I wasn’t so sure it was getting to him, how can I tell with that blank mask on his face? Is he really dead?!
I heard approaching footsteps but I didn’t dare to turn.
"Master, you called me"
That voice was Elvenia’s.
William finally moved, and a breath of relief found me... He was leaning toward me but now he was standing at his full height, I gulped seeing the action. His height was so intimidating, I felt like a twig in front of him, something he could snap with just a finger if he so desired. Severus, the only other male I have seen in this household, wasn’t even up to his height like he was the only otherworldly being.
"Rid her of the mortal realm filth," he said in his usual calm tone.
"Permission to touch the young miss," Elvenia said.
