Chapter 219: The Enemy {1}
Alice grabbed the dagger, sauntering to the two babies beside Yelena. That was when Nicklaus lost it, the pain, the grief, and his anger stormed through and he did something he never thought he could do, something only the elders were capable of, he fully transformed into his vampire form.
Next were screams and blood, as the 20 sorceresses drowned in the pool of their own blood.
"No please, please we were just following her orders," Alice said in tears, her body shocked as the monster stalked towards her. Nicklaus’ looks were animalistic, his ears slightly pointy and his veins covering his entire body, his look was deformed to look like a beast, and his wings were spread out.
Her trembling eyes fell on his bloody hand holding the blood of her sisters he just ripped apart.
"You held a dagger at my children’s throat"
She gulped at his monstrous tone and she knew she was done for. "You’re not innocent"
Next, her body dropped to the ground, and once again his hands were bloody but he didn’t care, he didn’t faze. His vampire form retreated when he set his eyes on his mate. Tears rolled his cheeks as he held her cold body against his.
"No... No... not again" he cried as his breath shook. "Oh Yelena, please wildfire open your eyes" he held her form and cried his heart out, his cries echoed in the hall. "Please..." but she was still lifeless, just like two thousand years ago when he held her cold form, his sweet Yelena was gone.
The sweet sound of the babies crying came forth and his eyes darted to the crying boy and girl, their bodies still bloody and wrapped in a blanket, their cries increased like they sensed their mother was gone.
Nicklaus sobbed, placing his hands on them and their cries seemed to ease, they were beautiful, so beautiful that he couldn’t believe they belonged to him. The boy’s eyes flicked open revealing his mother’s golden orbs, his second son looked just like Yelena but by the looks of his, he would grow to have his raven hair. The baby girl’s eyes opened once again revealing her amber orbs, a mixture of green and gold. They were perfect just like their mother and once again she took his hair color, she was the spitting image of her mother and then he broke again when the realization struck him, a name was not given to them yet, something he hoped would be Yelena’s choice when the time came.
A portal appeared and Alaric strolled in, the first which he took led to a dead end until he was finally able to locate the second one, he just hoped he wasn’t too late.
