Chapter 163: Encounter

Nicklaus was seated on his throne, his expression unreadable, his eyes completely dark with no life in them, he has been like this ever since she disappeared, the weather has been the coldest since then but it wasn’t compared to his heart or the way he felt, he felt lost, he felt empty, a deep hollow feeling, when he heard what happened from Alaric it was like his world stopped moving.
Celeste says it might have been her fox blood that caused such to happen and for that, they have been on the lookout for her ever since he didn’t know how long she has disappeared but it felt like centuries to him. He knew deep down that the incident couldn’t possibly be because of her Fox blood.
His fist clenched hard, it would have been no other than her mother, she must have found out she was within the Vampire Realm and sorted a way to get to her. ’Damn woman, you always strive to keep them apart’ he thought as his fangs descended, his bloodthirst getting heavier and the air chilling, parts of the throne room turning ice and breaking apart.
"Hello Magnus" at the sound of the sudden voice his dark eyes moved and found a woman standing before him, it was no other than the Mother goddess in her spirit form.
"I heard you broke through your curse," Edwina said with a smirk, her golden eyes shining.
In a snap, before she could blink, Nicklaus was before her and she gasped, he grabbed her neck, eagerly choking the life out of her.
"You made a big mistake sending your soul here," Nicklaus said with a growl, if only this was her real body he would have gladly separated her head from her body, a most satisfying feeling he could ever feel.
She vanished from his hold and then appeared behind him. "As animalistic as you’re," she remarked
Nicklaus turned, the black veins covering his features, he was angry, his blood boiled in her presence, and he was itching for the kill. "Where is she?!" he demanded as the halls boomed just by the sound of his demonic voice.
"I will not let you lay another finger on her" Elwina snapped at him, her angry eyes on him.
