Chapter 144: His Words

I sauntered back to the grand hall, I wasn’t about to heed Nicklaus’ words... because he doesn’t get along with his brother that doesn’t mean I should too, what was his deal? ugh! And besides what he said captivated me, he said something about my memories being blocked. I needed to understand what he meant by that, I was extremely curious, not just that I also had a strong feeling that he knows something about my fox blood too.
"You damn vampire!"
I came to a sudden halt at the yell, it belonged to Celeste, I walked further and then... Celeste punched Alaric in the abdomen and he crouched in pain, his cheeks bloated. I gasped at the scene, it almost scared me.
"Little sister... why hit me?" he asked in amusement, despite the pain he was in, which was alarming!
"Don’t think you can just show up unannounced and call me that... you menacing smirking bastard!"
"Surely you should know that I’m your elder brother I deserve some respect" he intoned but he seemed to be enjoying her outburst, was it just me, or does this family have a thing with stubbornness, it was almost like it intrigued them, I shivered.
"F**k that! Respect my foot!"
They were seriously causing some commotion right now, the rest present just gaped at them, they were like little children having a fit.
"Little sis-"
She raised a finger in a warning and then I rushed before it would get more heated. "There is no need for this... both of you," I said, coming in between them with a smile. "The others are staring... royal family, rings a bell? Act like one"
