She pulled it out only to find out it was a piece of paper, folded, out of curiosity she unfolded it and the moment she saw Chase’s name, she gasped, she knew it must be from him, she quickly opened it as tears fell on their own accord. Her heart ached when she read the contents.

’Renee I can’t tell you how sorry I’m for saying this... but I might not make it to the airport with you guys, I had an encounter today, and I have a feeling I still have some unfinished business with the agency. I pray it doesn’t get to a point where you would see this letter, I really hope so, but if you do that means I’m late for the airport.

Please keep my promise, get on that plane no matter what, and don’t look back. I can’t promise but I will try as much as I can to board the next plane and meet up with you guys, I won’t ask you to wait for me, I’m really not asking, but I will try my best so that I can make it to you guys’

She broke into silent tears covering her mouth to keep her from screaming in pain, she knew what this letter meant, she knew what he was asking, she knew he wasn’t coming back. She took a deep breath calming herself down as she sobbed, she felt empty, she felt pain, but she had to stay strong for Rex and for him too.

"We will wait" she nods sobbing. "So come back to us". It was a silent prayer and last wish.

The plane left the city.
