Chapter 806: Yu Holea’s Surprise
"Pretty much," Sicong said with a laugh. "Honestly, that’s probably the only reason she didn’t smack me for getting into this whole mess. She’s emotionally invested."
Fu Jian laughed quietly, the sound soft and a little shaky. It felt good to laugh, even just a little.
"Well, I guess we’d better make this a good story for her, then," he said.
Sicong’s eyes softened. He reached out and brushed his fingers against Fu Jian’s.
"We will," he promised.
After comforting Fu Jian, Yu Sicong left the hospital room and walked toward the stairs. He found Yu Holea with her back to the wall and scrolling through her phone, and frowned.
"Why are you standing in such a cold place?"
Though he scolded her, his actions were much more honest, as he took out his coat and draped it over Yu Holea, who smiled.
"I thought it would waste your time the least."
"Nonsense." This time, there was genuine disapproval in Yu Sicong’s eyes, and he lectured her, "Whatever the situation is, talking with you can never be a waste of time. So never ever put yourself in discomfort, just to save my time."
Yu Holea’s heart warmed. Honestly, she wasn’t as chill as she looked.
