Chapter 493: What Was Given
I sniffled, sluggishly walked to the toilet seat, and sat, pulling the strands of my hair behind my ears. I heard his footsteps and found him squatting in front of me. Watching me intensely like I was the only breathing being in the world, it was things like this that made my heart flutter but instead, it made my chest cram in pain, knowing I was the only one who would get to see this side of him.
Emilia deserved to see this too, right? I’m not a selfish person to take all his world, his world should revolve around the people he cares about... that makes him human.

He looked to the side not meeting my eyes anymore, but I wasn’t stopping there.

"Emma..." he closed his eyes and then flicked them to me, golden hazels that could see inside my soul and remind me where they had come from, it was like I could see his beast and him simultaneously, it was a strange feeling. "I can’t"
